Carpooling

The CAR SHARE project was born out of the desire de the City Council of Mataró to encourage people to use cars more rationally. The service consists of helping people interested in sharing a private vehicle for a journeyto find each other.

OBJECTIVES

• Reduce pollution and energy consumed by private vehicles.

HOW TO ACCESS THE SERVICE

• To go to work

  If you are going to a workplace in the suburbs and always make the same trip with your private vehicle or are looking for people to share your car with, you can Car-sharing to go to work.

• To go to the university campus

  If are a university student or worker and are looking for someone to share the same journey to any of the universities, you can Car-sharing to go to the university campus.

• To travel

  If you make journeys occasionally or not regularly in other cities or even abroad, here you can find people who are interested in sharing the costs of travelling . Go to Car-sharing to go to other destinations.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

With this service you can see people who have registered for a journey similar to yours. You can contact them by e-mail. You will see their preferences, whether they have a car, the reason for their journey, and more information to make it easier to find people to travel with. You can leave an e-mail for people you consider to be suitable companions for your journey. All immediately and with no intermediaries.
